FF Apps Archive is an open source web app that preserves and catalogs thousands of apps from the defunct Firefox Marketplace. As UI designer and frontend engineer, I joined the project in October 2025 and took ownership of the entire visual design system from the ground up.

The work involved building a comprehensive style guide, establishing design tokens, and creating close to 40 components and over 20 page wireframes in Figma, including a full dark and light color theme. I then converted those designs into production Astro components using Figma Make and prompt engineering, implementing everything in VS Code with Git and GitHub for version control.

With this project I gained experience closing the full design loop, taking work from initial concept in Figma through to shipping code in a live collaborative codebase. It reinforced my approach of treating design and engineering as one continuous process rather than two separate handoffs.
